Nike5 Astro and Indoor Boots

Nike have recently released a selection of new astroturf and indoor futsal boots, which have introduced some new ideas, which is always nice to see in these types of boots. All too often astroturf and indoor boots are the poor cousin to the standard boot, but with the small sided game gaining more and more popularity it makes sense for companies to spend a bit of time and effort on these boots.
Onto the new Nike5 family then, which consists of 3 different models in both astro and indoor genres. They are from cheapest to most expensive, the T-3, T-5 and top of the range T-7, which all have a similar look but differing levels of new technology in them. 
The top of the range T-7 CT Astroturf boot is shown in the image above, which has a flatter section on the front outside of the boot to aid close control in small sided games, allowing you to get your foot underneath the ball and flip it over the oncoming defender. If toe-punts are your thing the end of these boots are re-inforced to allow for this, and on a similar theme the back of the boot has something the same for backheeling. With an off centre lacing, you should be able to get a clean strike most of the time with these one. 
The indoor boot offers the same k-leather upper and all the same ideas, but obviously has a different sole to give you decent grip when on an indoor surface. We’re not sure on some of these gimmicks, as surely if you want to backheel or toe punt the ball, then any boot will do, but they do look and feel great, and we really like the fact that there is something in the upper end of the market for Astro and indoor boots becoming available.
