Adidas F50 & Adipure II Cardinal

Whilst Adidas recently released the new Rome/Cardinal colourway for the Powerswerve,  they didn’t leave their other top line models, the F50.9 and Adipure II behind as they also released the new ‘Cardinal’ colourway for these two boots.

Starting with the lightweight F50.9, the recently updated lightweight Adidas model, and possibly the most striking looking of the new colourways. As you can see from the picture on the right, the Cardinal colourway envelopes the whole of the boot, with the boot lightened with the traditional Adidas stripes across the top and a subtle gold piping. As with all recent F50 boots the heel of the boot is see-through, but being a dark red colour it is less obvious on first appearance than with some other colourways.

As with all F50.9 boots, the Tunit system in the sole means these boots can be worn on a multitude of ground conditions by switching the studs around to suit. Messi, Robben and Adebayor are amongst the International stars who wear the F50.9.

The Adipure II,  updated for 2009 by Adidas is the other model to gain a ‘cardinal’ colourway, which you can see in the image below is a little more subtle than the striking F50.9. The traditional Adidas three stripes are all in ‘cardinal’ for the Adipure II, whilst the main k-leather on the boot is white. There is also the same colour piping around the edge of the boot and on the sole, whether you choose the hard or the soft ground option.

The Adipure II is quickly becoming a favourite amongst those who appreciate subtle quality in a boot and want a k-leather upper and a boot that gives good feel and performance, including pro’s such as Lampard, Kaka and Alonso.
