The Puma King has for a long time been the “king” of football boots, and the same is still true today for a lot of players. Puma noticed that the football boot world was changing though, so Puma released an updated version, the Puma King XL. This is sold alongside the King Pro, the long time favourite.
The Puma King Pro is the same boot it has been for many years, with a full leather upper, roll over tongue and duo-flex outsole. A great value boot nowadays, it was for a long time the pinnacle of football boots, and it still has the same great look.
The Puma King XL doesn’t change the successful formula that much, and retains the full leather upper, central lace and roll over tongue layout and a standard stud layout. They do have a more modern look to them though, along with the use of lighter materials make this a great update to an already fantastic boot.
Both of the Puma King boot models are fantastic value and offer great quality in them. Yes, they don’t offer the same striking look as many boots out there, but they are on a par if not better than the Adidas Adipure and Nike Tiempo. Choose a pair of these and you will stand out as a person that knows how to get a quality pair of boots.
